Okay everyone, here's the scoop ~ we're finally in! We moved 54 dogs into the Bloomfield facility on April 15th. Since then we've been pulling in dogs that have been patiently waiting for our facility to open for the past year and trying to get ourselves organized. We received our Certificate of Occupancy on Friday, May 21st, so we're officially in business.
BUT...we are not officially open yet. There have proven to be a few more challenges along the way, and until we are fully staffed, we cannot open the doors to the public. Adoptions are still being facilitated on an appointment basis, so keep those applications coming!

Our biggest challenge is funding to buy all of the necessary supplies to operate a facility of this magnitude. For those of you who have been following our progress, you already know that this facility opened 10 months behind schedule. What you may or may not know is that it is also hundreds of thousands of dollars over budget due to circumstances beyond our control.
So what does this mean? We need your help. Monetary donations are what is most needed at this time, because we need to place large orders for merchandise with various companies. To make a donation, please click here.
There are lots of other things that we need. Perhaps you or your company offers a service that we could benefit from. To find out more information, or to offer your services, please click here and submit an online Contact Us Form detailing the services that you can provide.
Thank you to the students from the Glenholme School in Washington, CT for conducting a donation drive for our new shelter, and for walking dogs with us when they came to drop off our donations. We look forward to giving all the kids at the Glenholme School a tour of our new facility in the coming months!
